I even listed Mod Config Menu first and it does not show up. I tried both methods and no mods are showing up. (I ask this because if I put spaces in folder names to better track, will that mess it up?Īpologies if this addressed in a later post :) Can we change the folder name to the mod name?Īlso, does the command Line (#3) search for EvacAll.XComMod (as an example) by the folder name, or the filename? If the mod is for the base game it should be in "XcomGame/Mods" or "XCom2-WarOfTheChosen/XcomGame/Mods" for War of the Chosen mods.Ģ) Edit the file "DefaultModOptions.ini" which can be found in "XcomGame/Config" or "XCom2-WarOfTheChosen/XcomGame/Config". I'm using the Long War 2 mod with the GOG version.ġ) Create a folder called Mods in the game installation folder. There's a fix at the end of the Wiki->Faq page that let's you run it even when using GOG:Īmund: Yes, it's possible. So DefaultModOptions.ini should look like: If you're playing with WotC, there's another XComGame folder inside, so use that.Įxample would be MCM: XComGame/Mods/wotc_mod_config_menu->ModConfigMenu.XComMod Thoughts? path should be in XComGame/Mods/(mod you downloaded)

XCOM 2 STEAM WORKSHOP UPDATE
update DefaultModOptions file with ActiveMods="" XComMod file names they contain (seems to work better doing this - but also seems unnecessary) I rename every mod download folder the same as the. I've manually downloaded mods and I'm having very few issues with the voice acting mods: I'm running vanilla XCOM 2 (GOG version) - played XCOM on XBOX One for ages but I bought this for the mod scene. (If I aim Vortex manually at the WOTC folder, it just uses the main game folder) But having to add them to the config seems like a chore, and I'm quite frustrated, that this seems to be such a "huge" problem. The only way I've found so far, is to manually add all mods. The problem is that Vortex doesn't specifically start WOTC, only the main game. With Vortex you can easly activate/deactivate mods, and also manage the loading order of the mods. In this post I have explained how I manage the mods with Vortex. I also use this tool to download Steam Workshop mods I use Vortex for managing the mods (Vortex can be downloaded from the Nexus Mods site).

The mods are both from Nexus and Steam Workshop. I'm currently running Xcom 2 (gog version, of course) with 33 active mods. For more detailed specifications check the Feral website.Banryu79: I'm not sure who exactly you are replying to, so I write here just for sharing information.
